Can I learn TM from a book or video lesson?

Imagine trying to learn how to play the violin on your own - it won't be easy even if you can make some sounds. You know how valuable it is for a good teacher to show you the correct playing technique, evaluate and correct your performance.
The TM technique is easy to learn, but requires personal guidance. Because of this, Transcendental Meditation can only be learned through the individual instruction of a certified TM teacher. There is no other way to learn the true TM technique, and there is no guarantee that all methods of learning from a video or a book will provide the full range of benefits described in published research on TM technology.
Effective learning is a complex of everything related to the knowledge of the internal mechanics of a person. All training steps are carried out according to a patented international methodology and are tested by time and people. 
Trust the professionals and don't do it self-medicate! If someone thinks that he can use the information found on the Internet in a "pirated" way and he will succeed, he is deeply mistaken.

How much does a TM course cost?

From February 24, 2022 in Ukraine there is a preferential system of TM education. It is also possible to take a course of study without paying for it at the expense of a Charitable Scholarship from the David Lynch Foundation.

The TM technique allows your mind to easily sink inwards, through a quieter level of thinking, until you feel the quietest and most peaceful level of your own awareness - pure consciousness.
This is done with a very simple mental technique, that is, you just close your eyes and do a very easy and pleasant procedure to yourself that you receive during the training course. And it is important that everyone succeeds, but only with the support and guidance of the teacher.

What if I can't control my mind?

Absolutely no problem. Unlike other forms of meditation, TM practice does not require concentration. You don't need to control the mind. 
The TM teacher understands well all the processes taking place in the mind and will help you calm your mind without effort and tension.

No. In order to teach Transcendental Meditation, you need to practice TM for a long time, and then go through a very intensive training course for teachers of Transcendental Meditation (approximately 2700 hours of classes) at the International University of WWMM.
